Dianne Weinrib founded DW Communications in 1989 to create
a platform for small and medium-sized arts companies to be recognized
for their contributions to the community-at-large, to achieve visibility
and build audiences for their work. For ten years prior, Dianne worked
as the Publicity and Marketing Director for Toronto's Theatre Plus, Toronto
Free Theatre and the Canadian Stage Company.
DW Communications has earned the respect and trust of the
Toronto performing arts community and has built an extensive network of
the country's most influential entertainment media.
DW Communications has collaborated on and launched inaugural
seasons of three city-wide Toronto cultural festivals that are now well
established in the community: First Night New Year's Eve Festival of the
Arts, ASHKENAZ: A Festival of New Yiddish Culture and Doors Open Toronto.
Other festivals and events include BuskerFest, and the Dora Mavor Moore
Awards.
Clients range from small cutting-edge independent theatre
and dance companies such as: Necessary Angel, Alianak Theatre Productions,
